Expect nothing less than a huge line up from this Aussie favourite and one of the first to move to a more green-friendly approach. Patrons can offset carbon by paying extra on their ticket, they can even plant a tree on site at the festival; over 2000 trees were planted last year.
They have dry composted toilets, gas fired low-flow showers, rainwater roof collection points and green tent options. Waste warriors and eco cops are onsite to help minimize impact whilst the green team rove around to educate the masses.

The newest upcoming love festival is Lightening in a Bottle which seeks to promote sustainability, social cohesion, personal health and creative expression. It uses renewable energy and also educates visitors about their impact and provides hands on demos of composting. It’s a new and improved Woodstock.

If you want to feel incredible, the place to be is Lollapalooza. You can rock and recycle by gathering recyclable items in exchange for a Lollapalooza t-shirt and you can offset your attendance by purchasing an energy tag from Green Mountain.
